Google has recently introduced a new feature in their AI ecosystem by adding a video generation capability to Gemini Advanced, now powered by the Veo 2 model.
With the support of the Veo 2 model, Gemini AI users can create high-quality videos simply by providing a text description. But what exactly is Veo 2?
Veo 2 is a new AI model from Google specifically designed to generate videos at 720p resolution with an 8-second duration. This is already sufficient for video generation, as the model can produce remarkably realistic and cinematic results.

As shown in the image above, the generated video outputs are quite impressive, allowing users to explore their creativity further with this feature.
However, it’s important to note that Google mentioned in a blog post that this new feature is exclusively available to Gemini Advanced users, both on web and mobile platforms, across all supported languages. In other words, it is currently limited to paid subscribers of Gemini Advanced, with a monthly cap on the number of videos that can be created.
Additionally, Google has implemented a SynthID watermark to tag AI-generated videos, preventing potential misuse.
