Giorgio Sardo, the Vice President of App Store & Apps at Microsoft, recently showcased a new feature coming to Windows 11. This feature integrates the Microsoft Store with Windows Search, allowing users to search and install apps directly from the Windows Search function in Windows 11.
As shown in the image above, users can now find and install apps directly from the search results (if available in the Microsoft Store) with just a few clicks, without needing to open the main app interface.

This feature has received mixed reactions, with many expressing dissatisfaction and considering it unnecessary. Even the leaker @XenoPanther commented, questioning whether this feature can be disabled or not.
The announcement was not well-received, as many feel that this integration is unnecessary. It would be better if Microsoft focused on improving the local file search capabilities of Windows Search rather than turning it into a multi-purpose search tool.
