Chrome Canary Users Can Now Automatically Change Passwords with AI Technology

With the latest update in Google Chrome Canary, Google introduces a set of new features, including an automatic password change feature powered by artificial intelligence (AI).
Currently, this feature is being tested among users through an experimental flag, with the clear objective of safeguarding users from the risks of compromised passwords.
Despite its innovative approach, the process remains user-dependent and requires explicit approval. This ensures that passwords aren’t altered without consent. If Chrome detects that a password stored in its built-in password manager has been compromised or exposed to unauthorized parties, it will notify the user when attempting to access the respective site.
Upon user confirmation, the browser will generate a new, highly secure password that is difficult to guess. The AI system will then locate the password change form on the site, fill it out, submit the new data, and update the entry in Google Chrome’s password manager.

Step 1. First, ensure you are using the latest version of Chrome Canary, as this feature is still in the testing phase.

Step 2. Next, activate the experimental flag Improved Password Change Service by accessing the following URL:

After completing these steps, restart your browser to enable the feature for use.
Keep in mind that this feature is still in its early testing stages and may not function optimally. If Chrome becomes unstable or malfunctions, it’s advisable to disable the feature temporarily.
This feature is highly advantageous, especially for users who actively save their passwords in Google Chrome and synchronize them with their Google accounts. What are your thoughts? Share your opinions in the comments below!
