Google Releases Gemini 2.0 Model on Android and iOS

Recently, Google made an official announcement regarding the release of Gemini 2.0, their new AI model, which is reportedly set to be available on both iOS and Android platforms.

For those unaware, Google had previously launched Gemini 2.0 for the web and later expanded its support by introducing a mobile version for Android and iOS.
In terms of features, Gemini 2.0 is accessible for free to users who actively use Gemini as their primary AI. Notably, this model is not restricted to Google Pixel users alone.

In other words, Gemini 2.0 is accessible to a wide range of users across different platforms. Beyond the web, both iOS and Android users can utilize it. Specifically for Android, Gemini 2.0 is not limited to Google Pixel devices but is compatible with nearly all Android devices available.

Gemini 2.0 introduces several new capabilities, including the Deep Search feature. This functionality enables Gemini to think faster and more accurately, similar to Think Deeper in Copilot/ChatGPT and DeepThink in Deepseek.

Additionally, since Gemini can leverage data from Google Search, it can provide users with relevant suggestions and information based on their queries. This feature enhances user engagement by making Gemini more intuitive and aligned with user needs.

Based on my testing, Gemini AI proves to be highly effective for retrieving specific information, especially when such data is widely available on Google Search, the world’s leading search engine.
For instance, using the Deep Search feature and testing the query “who is Gylang Satria Yudha,” the results were impressive. All information related to me (available on Google and other social media platforms) was summarized into a comprehensive 7-page document, from the introduction to the conclusion.

Moreover, this model offers personalized results based on user searches conducted via Google Search or Gemini 2.0. This capability allows the model to process information more swiftly and deliver accurate responses.

With the arrival of Gemini 2.0 on Android and iOS, active users of this model can expect an enhanced experience with precise results. What are your thoughts? Do you prefer Gemini AI, Deepseek, or ChatGPT/Copilot? Share your opinions in the comments below.
