Microsoft Blocks Windows 11 24H2 on PCs Running AutoCAD

Windows 11 version 24H2 is now generally available for users with compatible hardware, except in specific cases where bugs have temporarily delayed the update.
Recently, Microsoft has published official documentation on the Windows Health Dashboard detailing compatibility issues with certain versions of AutoCAD. According to their findings, AutoCAD 2022 fails to launch on Windows 11 version 24H2.

This issue arises only after users install Windows 11 24H2, while AutoCAD 2022 continues to function smoothly on previous versions of Windows 11. Meanwhile, newer versions of AutoCAD, such as 2023, 2024, and 2025, operate without issues on Windows 11 24H2.
Due to this bug, AutoCAD 2022 users will not be offered the upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 for now. IT Admins managing devices can check this issue using safeguard ID: 56211213.

If users still wish to proceed with installing Windows 11 24H2, the best solution is to uninstall AutoCAD 2022 and replace it with a newer version. Alternatively, users can wait for an official update from Microsoft or AutoCAD to resolve this blocking issue.
