For those unaware, the OCR feature allows users to effortlessly copy text from images, similar to the functionality currently available in the Snipping Tool app.

Regarding this feature, Microsoft has recently reintroduced OCR as part of the Photos app through the Windows 11 Build 27788 Insider Canary release.

With this feature now available, users can easily copy text using the Photos app without the need to take additional screenshots with the Snipping Tool.
Additionally, although the feature is currently limited to the Insider release, it is expected to return for stable users once it reaches the production stage and achieves full stability. Let’s wait and see how it progresses.
