Microsoft Temporarily Halts New Battery Indicator Feature

A few months ago, we received news that Microsoft planned to update the battery indicator in Windows 11 with a new, more dynamic design compared to the current one.
In the latest Windows 11 Insider update, build 26120.2510, Microsoft has started rolling out changes to the battery icon.

As shown in the image above, the battery icon will be redesigned with specific colors indicating different statuses. For example, it will remain white during normal usage, turn green with a lightning bolt when charging, and shift to orange in low power mode.

However, there’s some unfortunate news. Microsoft recently announced on its official page that these changes have been temporarily paused.

This decision stems from technical issues in this feature, which Microsoft needs to address promptly. Consequently, users may notice their battery indicators reverting to the previous design until the necessary fixes are implemented.
Don’t worry, though, as the updated indicator will return once the bugs are resolved.
