So, how can you get Windows 11 24H2 and start the update? Below are some official steps to obtain Windows 11 24H2 without relying on third-party applications.
#Requirements
Before proceeding, note that the steps below may not work if your device doesn’t meet Windows 11’s minimum requirements. However, this doesn’t mean your device can’t get Windows 11 24H2, as bypass methods exist. These steps may be covered in a separate article, so stay tuned.

If you’re already using Windows 11 22H2 or 23H2 on a compatible device, you can update via Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.

However, some users and devices might not receive the Windows 11 24H2 update immediately, as Microsoft is rolling it out gradually.

An alternative method is using the Windows 11 Installation Assistant (previously known as the Windows 10 Update Assistant).
Step 1. First, download the Windows 11 Installation Assistant from this link.

Step 2. Next, launch the application and download the Microsoft PC Health Check tool.

The Installation Assistant won’t allow updates without verifying system compatibility, even if you’re already on Windows 11.

Step 3. Once the PC Health Check confirms your device meets the requirements, reopen the Installation Assistant and click Accept and Install.
Step 4. Follow the update process, where the application will download necessary files and automatically update Windows 11.
For users familiar with the Windows 10 Update Assistant method, this process is straightforward. The key difference is downloading the PC Health Check to ensure Windows 11 requirements are met.

Another preferred method is the In-place Upgrade, which allows you to save a Windows 11 ISO for future use. Here’s how to proceed:
Step 1. First, download the Windows 11 24H2 ISO file. Steps can be found here: How to Download Windows 11 24H2 ISO File

Step 2. After downloading the ISO file, mount or open it.

Step 3. Next, click on setup, and once the setup wizard opens, click Next and follow the usual process.

Following these steps should install Windows 11 24H2 seamlessly if your device meets the requirements. Otherwise, you’ll receive a notification similar to the fourth image above or the following image if attempting an in-place upgrade without bypass methods.

Besides these methods, you can also use the Media Creation Tool to update your system directly or download the ISO file first. For detailed steps, refer to: How to Download Windows 11 23H2 ISO Using Media Creation Tool
These are the official steps to obtain Windows 11 version 24H2. Note that this version no longer supports devices without PopCNT and SSE4.2, so ensure your device meets these requirements, even if bypassing TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
Hope this helps.
