OpenAI Plans to Integrate Video Generator Sora into ChatGPT

In addition to generating images, ChatGPT may soon be capable of creating videos using Sora. This is because OpenAI reportedly plans to integrate its AI video generator, Sora, directly into its popular consumer chatbot application, ChatGPT.
Currently, Sora is only accessible through a dedicated web application launched by OpenAI last December. This platform allows users to access the Sora AI video model to produce cinematic clips lasting up to 20 seconds.

As shown in the image above, to use Sora for video creation, users must subscribe to ChatGPT Plus or ChatGPT Pro. Since it’s only available on a separate website, this can be inconvenient for ChatGPT subscribers.
To address this, OpenAI’s product lead for Sora, Rohan Sahai, stated that they plan to make Sora available in more platforms and expand its creative capabilities.
Sahai mentioned that OpenAI is actively working to integrate Sora into ChatGPT. While the version of Sora in ChatGPT might not offer the same level of control as the web application, Sahai hinted that users might still be able to edit and combine footage.
With this support, ChatGPT will undoubtedly gain more exciting features. Beyond being a chatbot that answers questions or generates images, it might soon create videos based on user prompts. This will be particularly appealing for ChatGPT’s paid users.
Unfortunately, the release date and specifics of this feature integration remain undisclosed, so users will have to wait for further updates from OpenAI.
