Yes, you read that correctly. While Vivaldi isn’t the first to offer a built-in VPN—Opera introduced it earlier—its collaboration with Proton has enabled Vivaldi to provide a safer browsing experience through ProtonVPN.

As shown in the image above, users can access ProtonVPN directly from the Vivaldi browser without requiring additional updates or installations. Simply click and activate it. No extra extensions are needed, as ProtonVPN comes preinstalled with Vivaldi.
To enjoy a more private connection with ProtonVPN on Vivaldi, ensure you’re using the latest version of the browser and are logged into your Vivaldi account.
Next, click on ProtonVPN in the toolbar and select “Connect” to establish the VPN link. This allows you to connect to Proton’s VPN network instantly without needing a Protonmail account, as ProtonVPN is freely available to all Vivaldi users.
