Rewrite Feature Now Available for All Users

A few weeks ago, Microsoft began rolling out the Rewrite feature in Notepad exclusively for Insider users. Gradually, this feature was made available to select users in specific regions such as the US, Canada, and India.
Regarding this feature, which unfortunately requires a Microsoft 365 subscription, it is now being launched for all users, even if your device’s region is set to Indonesia. You can access this feature if you’re using the latest version of Notepad, available for download from the Microsoft Store.

As you can see above, next to my profile picture, there are several options available: rewrite to rephrase what you’ve written, make shorter to condense text without losing its meaning, make longer to expand the text, change tone to adjust the text’s tone (e.g., from formal to informal), and change format, which can also be utilized.
Honestly, this feature is incredibly useful, especially if you frequently take notes in Notepad. However, it’s worth reiterating that a Microsoft 365 subscription is required to use it.

The introduction of this feature presents a dilemma because, although it’s available, it’s inaccessible without a Microsoft 365 subscription. So, it’s essentially useless without it.
Fortunately, you can easily disable this feature. The steps to do so can be found on the following page: How to Disable the Rewrite AI Feature in Notepad on Windows 11
So, have you gotten access to this feature yet? Let us know in the comments below.
