It has been nearly a year since Microsoft launched Windows 11 24H2, and while the build is considered stable and packed with new features, users have encountered several issues, including unresolved bugs in the file explorer.
Regarding the major update for Windows 11, Microsoft confirmed through an official blog post that they will soon utilize the Windows 11 dev channel in the Windows Insider Program to test “behind-the-scenes platform changes,” which are rumored to lead to Windows 11 25H2.

Based on this information, it appears that Windows 11 Build 26200 could potentially evolve into Windows 11 25H2. However, Microsoft has yet to confirm this or provide any details about the Windows 11 2025 or 25H2 update. In fact, the announcement only mentioned that Build 26200 is based on Windows 11 24H2, with no reference to “25H2.”

Additionally, the rumor might hold true, and updates in the coming weeks could confirm that Windows 11 Build 26200 will serve as the release candidate for Windows 11 25H2.
For those currently using the Windows 11 Insider Dev Channel, Build 26200.5510 is now available via the KB5054148 update. Simply navigate to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates to manually install it.
